Vibhuti Bane has a long-standing successful career in the hospitality industry with various facets. Starting as a Hotel Management graduate from IHM- Goa in 1997, Vibhuti has worked his way from being a part of the start-up team at India’s first Ecotel Hotel, The Orchid Mumbai to moving on to Peninsular and Oriental Cruises, better known as P&O Cruises, Southampton, England in 1999.
After working for about five years, he moved into London, England in 2002 to work at The Dorchester, Hyde Park, London for a couple of years. The 14th-century hotel boasts of such esteemed guests as Her Majesty, the Queen. Prince Charles, Nelson Mandela, Julia Roberts, Vin Diesel, and Eminem. With Royalty and celebrities being part of his guest list, it was only natural for him to move into the Michelin Star restaurants. He then moved on to Nobu Berkeley as a part of the opening team. The Nobu Empire is now 44 outlets strong with Nobu Hotels moving up in numbers too. His daily clientele was the who’s who of London ranging from Mr. Laskhmi Mittal to David and Victoria Beckham, Frank Lampard, Noel, and Liam Gallaher, the crew of U2 and A-list celebrity’s.
With a bevy of experience under his belt, Vibhuti then set his sights on coming back to India. In 2007, he joined Bayleaf Hospitality as their Corporate Chef and set up a food court for a business park in Mumbai with 8000 people on campus. Moving to Bangalore, Vibhuti expanded his vision to opening top nightclubs in the city and award-winning Indian restaurants. Successfully opening and running them, he moved back to Mumbai in 2016. He took on the reins of an FMCG project in Taloja, Navi Mumbai which added another to his ever-increasing repertoire of projects. It was here that he was bit by the entrepreneur bug and as Director of Ba-Kus Hospitality LLP, he’s launched many successful projects in India and Africa. With clients from the casual dining restaurant, microbrewery, quick service restaurant, cloud kitchen for supermarkets, water parks, and setting up large industrial kitchens for factory workers, Vibhuti has been designing for a large range of projects upcoming in India and Africa.
To bring forward creative design elements in food, beverage, and interiors using local produce forging seasonality and sustainability thereby creating a smorgasbord of long-lasting visual and palette-pleasing projects to keep the dynamic customer coming back always.
